ALAM plant-based milk

Have you tried this amazing superfood version of plant-based milk? Perfect to enjoy on its own while sipping sustainably using the gorgeous ALAM bamboo straws. Or blend in your favourite ALAM recipes as a substitution for regular plant-based milk.

Ingredients ALAM coconut milk:

  • 1 liter mineral water
  • 200 grams unsweetened shredded coconut
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 Medjoul dates
  • 2 spoons ALAM superfood powder blend

Ingredients ALAM oat- or nutmilk:

  • 1 liter mineral water
  • 100 grams unsalted nuts or 100 grams oats
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 Medjoul dates
  • 2 spoons ALAM superfood powder blend

Directions ALAM coconut milk:
1. Blend the shredded coconut, water, salt, dates and ALAM superfood powder together until well blended and almost smooth.

2. Strain the ALAM coconut milk using a cheesecloth or a strainer.

3. Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate. Consume within 5 days.

Directions ALAM oat- or nutmilk:
1. If you choose nutmilk, soak the nuts for at least 4-6 hours, preferably overnight. If you choose oatmilk, soak the oats for minimum 30 minutes.

2. Drain and rinse the nuts or oats.

3. Add the nuts or oats together with water, salt, dates and ALAM superfood powder blend to a blender and blend until smooth.

4. Strain the mixture using a nut-milk bag, cheesecloth, napkin or a strainer.

5. Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate. Consume within 5 days.

Make sure to shake before use, as it can separate in the refrigerator (due to no preservatives).

Tip: save the pulp from the strainer for healthy bakery or add to oatmeal, smoothies or energy bites.
